Intermediate Reformer-Tower

Find order in the chaos by creating a strong, flexible foundation with Joseph Pilates's original work.

Please note: prior experience with Strong Foundations and instructor consent is required to register for this class.

If you have taken at least 5 Strong Foundations classes, are familiar with Pilates principles, foundational reformer exercises and wish to build on this, then Intermediate Reformer-Tower is for you! We'll continue to explore and refine our Pilates knowledge and skills, build whole body strength, mobility, confidence and control, using the intermediate order. Here, progressions on the basics appear: Long and Short Box variations, Long Stretch additions, standing work such as Side Splits and Front Splits and more.

Reformer/tower classes use reformer, tower, mat and other tools for a challenging, creative, mindful movement experience. I teach all my classes with a restorative movement lens—alignment and clarity matter. I follow Joseph Pilates' original order of exercises, along with Pilates concepts of breath, centering, concentration, control, precision and flow to guide the class.
